I'm still not sure if i should post anything after i read it, but what's obvious for me is that this blog still finds reason to function, until now at least, and not because DD may or may not still be alive, but because people read the books, and like them, and talk about them :)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - the answers are surely in there

This blog surely has taken off with comments made every day recently; i even did a search with the 'Dumbledore alive' keywords and this blog came up first (although, apparently no one, not even me, posted a link to it :D ). But this recent wave of visitors must have been generated by the (not so recent) announcement of the book 7 title: "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" sparking people's curiosity. As for this site, it only pointed out several arguments why Dumbledore could still be alive, but apparently the author has said in obvious (or not so obvious ways) that DD is dead. Whatever the conclusion is, (DD:) "I will only truly have left this school when none here are loyal to me" :)

Update: book 7 will be released on July 21st 2007

P.S. The 7th book is going to be published this year which means that this blog can go rest soon :) I only did 3 posts (including this one), each one in a different year :D I'll always answer to comments left by readers, but i'll only make one more post: the conclusion :) All i know is that this Dumbledore debate has 'conquered', step by step, many blogs, sites, groups and forums, and is the largest debate i've ever been part of. It was fun searching for details and clues, no matter what the outcome is, and that only makes me even more curious about what's going to happen in the last book. I'm sure there are some big surprises left in store :)

Update: book 7 is released

J.K. Apparently she also apologizes to www.DumbledoreIsNotDead.com for ruining the purpose of their site, but here's what the author of that site wrote about it. You may think i'm a fanatic (i hope i'm not :), but after reading the coverage and all the details included, i think that site (and this blog) aren't really out of business. (I would really like to read your replies to see what you think). I’m going to number them so it’s easy to comment.
1. Why did Dumbledore perform a Body-Bind on Harry? Because he did not want him to interfere in an already heavily planned timeline. He could have (probably with high possibility of success because of the cloak) to save him. Which Dumbledore did not want. Apparently the time used to paralyze Harry could have easily been spent to make an attack against Draco or to prepare a better defense. But Dumbledore is conveniently disarmed by probably the simplest of spells. Very conveniently for Draco. This is why we know Harry was supposed to see Draco’s hesitation and Dumbledore’s “killing”.
2. As already stated in many places, the Avada Kedavra DOES NOT THROW you away (like Dobby throws Lucius away – read on), it’s more like an implosion. But this may still be subjective, so as an extra argument let’s look at Snape. Why did Dumbledore positively know SNAPE WAS COMING? BECAUSE OF SNAPE’S DUPLICITY WHICH WAS DEVELOPED BY DUMBLEDORE. He could very easily move through the battle without getting hurt (every side considered him as his, maybe not beyond doubt but enough not to kill him – trusted by Dumbledore, trusted by Voldemort). That’s why no matter who was winning downstairs, the Order or the DE, Snape had free passage to Dumbledore. Then he “killes” Dumbledore IN FRONT OF HARRY and DRACO without saying anything and communicating only with Dumbledore who as Harry saw, “pleaded for his life” (why would he plead in front of Snape? I mean HE WOULDN’T PLEAD IN FRONT OF DRACO SAYING THAT DRACO WAS AT HIS MERCY, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND? WHOULDN’T PLEAD IN FRONT OF 4 DE OF THE MOST DANGEROUS KINDS? BUT WOULD PLEAD IN FRONT OF SOMEONE WHO HE TRUSTED WITH HIS LIFE(SNAPE)?) Excuse me but there is no doubt to me that he pleaded knowing that the DE consider Snape a DE, therefore seaming plausible. That’s why I consider the plead for his life a message to Snape + Dumbledore obviously knows a reason for which Draco wouldn’t kill him. And this should be an intrinsic reason of Draco’s which has nothing to do with what Voldemort requested, as we will probably find out in volume 7 + remember how Snape STUPEFIED FLITWICK , who came to ask for help? How could he explain it to him that he had to go and “kill” Dumbledore? THIS IS HARD EVIDENCE THAT SNAPE IS ON DUMBLEDORE’S SIDE : WHY WOULDN’T HE KILL FLITWICK? IF HE WAS A DE HE WOULD HAVE WANTED A LESSER ENEMY…
3. Remember what Hagrid let out at St. Mungo’s ? That Snape and Dumbledore were arguing near the forest? What could it possibly be about… Maybe the plan, which was obviously dangerous in Snape’s opinion, in which he pretends to kill Dumbledore.
4. Why Snape? As you probably know he was serving Voldemort before Harry was born, yet there is some reason for which Dumbledore trusted him. We can only speculate on what it is, but at this point it’s only important that there are reasons (it would have to be good – I think we all agree that Dumbledore’s not a fool). Why has Snape suddenly become a DADA teacher, Dumbledore himself telling Harry in “Lord Voldemort’s Request” chapter that after his request the job was cursed? Everybody who taught DADA ended up away of Hogwarts. Why would this be except because it fits perfectly in Dumbledore’s plans. It also conveniently vacates the Potions job which was taken by Slughorn (so Harry could convince him to give his memory). It was even arranged that Harry would impress Slughorn with The Half-Blood Prince’s book. It also had to be Snape who “killed” Dumbledore because it was only him who could teach such good Occlumency lessons outside the castle during the battle practically provoking Harry to perform NON-VERBAL SPELLS and OCCLUMENCY to prevent Snape from defending himself. And indeed as I saw in some forum, how come he knows that “Potter is Voldemort’s” (and somehow Harry ends up free like a bird with nobody on his tails) but doesn’t know that Dumbledore is Draco’s although every other DE knows.
5. WHAT HAPPENED TO KREACHER AND DOBBY? As I’m sure you’re beginning to figure out right know they were right beside Draco when he was threatening Dumbledore. I’m sure you remember the orders Harry gave Kreacher and Dobby… And that’s how a number of spells could be performed simultaneously and showing as one + if Dobby really worked in Hogwarts, then this would make Dumbledore be his master and I’m sure Dobby wouldn’t let anything happen to his master. And please note that the elfs are STILL WITH DRACO, WHERE EVER HE’S APPARATED WHEN HE LEFT HOGWARTS.
6. UNUSUAL THINGS ABOUT DUMBLEDORE’S BODY:
• He seemed asleep, which we well know by now many spells can induce.
• Consider that the dead Death Eater’s body is somehow left out of mention. Consider that the body Hagrid was carrying was covered in something which doesn’t let us verify that it was indeed Dumbledore’s body. 1+1=2
• If you still believe that it was Dumbledore’s body inside then you are offering yourself even more evidence that he is alive: Harry saw a Phoenix around the body which was obviously a message for him: a Patronus (Dumbledore would have such a patronus) because it couldn’t have been the real Fawkes. The flames were “obscuring the body”. Then, if the Patronus theory is wrong, then it is Dumbledore showing his Animagus skills, transforming into a Phoenix and “rising from his ash”. Both theories exclude each other, therefore one of them is true if we want the Phoenix thing explained. And both of them couldn’t have been performed if Dumbledore was dead, right? Of course you could think Harry was hallucinating but then… that leads us back to previous argument.
• Professor McGonagall watches Dumbledore “slumbering” in a picture in his office. “After glancing once at his portrait, Professor McGonagall made an odd movement as though steeling herself…” making us believe that she saw something she did not want the others to see and funnily enough we don’t see her upset again after that scene, although we do in everybody else’s case + we see Dumbledore's portrait on the wall but we know the portraits are of ex-headmasters not of dead ex-headmasters, and as we already are sure, McGonagall's the next.
7. Remember the scene in the cave… read the part where Dumbledore screams confusing things ending up with “KILL ME!”. DOESN’T IT LOOK LIKE THE ARGUMENT HE AND SNAPE WERE HAVING AND WHICH HAGRID RECOUNTED?
8.WHERE’S FAWKES WHEN DRACO’S ABOUT TO KILL DUMBLEDORE? FAWKES DOESN’T TRY TO SAVE HIM AS WE KNOW HE DID BEFORE.
9.Dumbledore says "I will have only truly left Hogwarts when none here are loyal to me!"

This is all I could logically say but I also think R.A.B. might be an additional reason for which Dumbledore’s still alive (just haven’t figured that out yet, I think it has something to do with the Regulus Alphred Black – Sirius Black – Kreacher – Harry relationship. He would have to consider that R.A.B. is now probably dead as he says himself in the note).

Teo , Romania .
